Autumn 2007

A very settled autumn with persistent high pressure dominating the weather except for a few brief unsettled spells caused from vigorous low pressure systems. Not surprisingly it was also a dry autumn and there were a few particularly sharp frosts in November. Temperatures were above normal for September and October but slightly below normal for November, this was in-part due to a high incidence of chilly nights caused by calm, starry conditions.
