A very warm and exceptionally sunny month.
 

Temperatures by day were warm or even hot but there were a few cool nights mid-month.

This June had the warmest mean monthly temperature since August 2006.
Rainfall was sporadic and only fell on a few days, but one day (8th) had 34.1 mm of rain. This ranks as one of the wettest summer days recorded.
As you would expect from a summer month, there were no air or grass frosts.
Sunshine amounts were very high leading to the sunniest month on record.
Soil temperatures were below normal at the start of the month but recovered during the last 10 days to end up slightly above average.
Winds were dominant from the north and west sectors, though towards the end of the month the dominant direction was SSE due to frequent sea breezes.
Rainfall duration was just 23.5 hours.
Sea temperatures rose slowly throughout the month and ended up above normal.
Mean pressure was around average.
Dewpoints were around average.
The RH ended up being well below normal.
